Description
We are a looking for a friendly, kind, and reliable Optometrist to help care for patients at our two private family practice locations in San Marcos, CA (North County San Diego) for Fridays (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) and Saturdays (8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.). We are a team-based office and our priority is to ensure all patients have the best of care, and quality products that we feel good about offering to our patients. While the current position mainly involves primary care exams & contact lens - growth opportunities to full time status might be available in the future to associates who are able to help grow our new Dry Eye Clinic. Our Dry Eye Clinic includes IPL, low level light therapy, punctal plugs, and Meibomian gland extraction/debridement.
Details:
- Base pay $550 per diem + up to $650+/day with daily production bonus
- Additional $$$ bonus opportunities beyond daily production in place as well.

- Closed on Sundays and most holiday weekends
- Flexible time off (with advance notice)
- Exam scheduling: 1 exam every 30 minutes, 4 quick follow-up/quick check appointments per day
- An optical technician will pre-test and pre-chart for you
- Permanent position (2 days per week of regularly days: Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm & Saturday 8:00am - 3:00pm)
- Malpractice insurance is covered for you
- Future full-time opportunities possible for growth in our Dry Eye Clinic
- Job status: W-2 employee (not a 1099 independent contractor which has higher tax liability)

Requirements
While we prefer an Optometrist with at least 1 year of work experience, we are willing to consider candidates who are recent graduates. Spanish language skills and familiarity with Officemate EMR are a plus but not required.
