Medical Associates Clinic offers several locations from which to seek medical care, including facilities at 1500 Associates Drive, 1000 Langworthy, and 4155 Pennsylvania Ave in Dubuque, Iowa; as well as facilities in Bellevue, Cascade, Dyersville, Iowa; Cuba City, Lancaster, and Platteville, Wisconsin; and Elizabeth and Galena, Illinois.
Requirements
Medical Associates Clinic based out of Dubuque, Iowa is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our growing and reputable MD/OD ophthalmology department. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice full-scope optometry in a supportive, technologically advanced, and collaborative environment.

Schedule & Practice Overview:
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
- No weekend or on-call responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced ophthalmologists and optometrists in a collaborative MD/OD model
Compensation:
First Year Total Compensation $170,000 minimum, + bonus potential + relocation assistance + excellent benefit package
Full-time providers will be eligible for a benefits package including:

401k with immediate matching (50% on the dollar up to 7% of pay + additional annual Profit Sharing)

Practice Highlights:
Provide full-scope optometric care, including routine, medical, and post-surgical management. Deliver pre- and post-operative care in coordination with ophthalmologists.
Access to state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technologies, including:
- Automated perimetry
- OCT and OCT-angiography
- Pentacam
- Fundus photography
- Endothelial cell counter
- Fluorescein angiography
- A-scan, B-scan, and UBM ultrasound
- CT and MRI
- Fully integrated EMR system
Department services include:
Comprehensive ophthalmology; Retina, glaucoma, cornea, pediatric and adult strabismus; Laser refractive surgery; Optical and contact lens services.
Comprehensive team consists of 36 trained professionals including orthoptists, COMTs, CDOS, RNs, LPNs, COTS, COAs, CMAs and ABO-certified Opticians. We are committed to ongoing staff education and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions
Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, medications, and low vision aids
Identify ocular manifestations of systemic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension)
Co-manage surgical patients with ophthalmologists
Collaborate with ophthalmic assistants, nurses, opticians, and other specialists
Educate patients and document care accurately in the EMR

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience/Education: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program. Eligible for licensure in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
