Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute, a principle-centered multi-site cataract and refractive surgery co-management center, seeks a full-time medical optometric physician for our surgical facility in Tualatin, OR, a southwestern suburb of Portland. PCLI has 18 surgery facilities located in 6 states – Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Alaska, and New Mexico. Located 20 minutes from downtown Portland, Tualatin has a peaceful, small-town feel without sacrificing access to shopping, dining, and entertainment. Home prices and rent are generally more reasonable compared to some of the trendier Portland neighborhoods. You’ll get the classic Pacific Northwest mix of cool, rainy winters, gorgeous mild summers, and spectacular falls. With Mount Hood and the Cascade Mountains to the east and the stunning Oregon Coast to the west, year-round adventure is always within reach—whether it's hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing in the warmer months, or skiing and snowboarding in the winter.
Company-wide, PCLI provides a unique work environment with a strong team approach between 45 staff ODs and 15 surgeons. We do not provide primary care, vision exams, contact lenses, or eyeglasses. Instead, we support community ODs with cataract surgery, laser vision correction, and medical consults. Our ODs can also perform advanced optometric procedures, practicing at the highest level of their training.

Requirements
- Clinically skilled and residency trained, or the equivalent ocular disease and surgical co-management experience
- Solid leadership skills with a passion for helping others
- Highly motivated and a self-starter who will expand our presence
- An excellent communicator who enjoys working with a team
- In addition to having exceptional clinical skills, job duties include lecturing within the optometric community and involvement with professional organizations.
